ZBB Fundraising

Band fees only cover 50% of the total cost of our programs. The other 50% comes from sponsorships, fundraisers, and other donations. We offer two types of fundraisers: one type supports all band programs and the other type allows you to earn money for your student’s account.

Fundraisers that support the whole band:

  • Corporate Sponsorships: Sponsorships are available at Diamond ($5,000), Platinum ($2,400), Gold ($1,200), Silver ($600), and Bronze ($300). Benefits vary at different levels.

  • Power Hour: In August, September or October, we will host a Power Hour where the students work together to ask family and friends for donations. This is one of our single largest fundraisers for the program.

  • Product/Merchandise Sales: For example, in 2023 we sold car flags and stadium blankets.

  • Mattress Sale: Every November, we hold a mattress sale where the entire community can come and purchase new mattresses. A portion of every sale gets donated to the band.

  • Marching Band/Guard Invitationals: Zionsville is host to over a dozen bands in fall and dozens of guard programs in the Winter. Volunteers are needed for these so check out the sign up Genie to help out!

  • Dine to Donate: Monthly, we host Dine to Donate opportunities at local restaurants. An average of 20% of sales are donated back to the band. Typically these events are on Wednesday nights. Find these events on the band calendar.

 Fundraisers that contribute to individual student accounts:

  • Crew Car Wash Sales: Carwashes are sold every fall and are usable at any Crew Carwash in Indiana. For every carwash coupon sold, 50% of proceeds goes into your student’s account.

  • ButterBraids: These tasty treats are sold in October (typically after fall break) and delivered in time for Thanksgiving. For every delicious ButterBraid sold, $5 goes into your student’s account.

  • RaiseRight: This is an online program where you can purchase online and physical gift cards for purchases you make every day, like gas, groceries, restaurants, coffee, and more! A portion of every sale is deposited into your student account. Instructions for how to join RaiseRight.

  • Mattress Sale: Every November, we hold a mattress sale where the entire community can come and purchase new mattresses. For any mattress sold with your student’s name listed as the beneficiary, $25 is deposited into your student’s account.

 How can you help?

  • Sponsor the band! If you own a company, they can sponsor the band or you can ask your employer.

  • Donate to the program directly! We accept donations year-round on our website and Zionsville Band Boosters is a 501c3 organization so your donation is tax deductible.

  • Support your student with participation in the annual fundraisers and volunteer for events.
